Your giant folder of shame is fine, it just needs a friend. Point Librarian at your rpg folders to get everything in one place. Use the bulk annotation system to quickly categorise things in a lot of ways. Choose a way to group and display everything from a number of presets, or devise your own. You can use only your annotations, or further embellish those from the server.

Search

Index all your files for fast searching. Dice Friendly Librarian will look for all the big words (really, it's only slightly fancier than this) in your pdfs. Looking for a cultist? Type in cultist to see how many of your files have it, how often and where. Click to view to open that pdf right where the occurrence happens, with a nifty highlight.

Annotate to Cooperate

You might be thinking "that sounds like a lot of people doing the same thing over and over" and yes, that would be right. While the system makes this work fast, it could still be a bit of a slog if you have a GB or so of files. You may choose to share your annotations with Dice Friendly's server, where they can be reviewed, approved and everyone can sync them into their installed copy of Librarian.
