Dice Friendly Librarian for RPG Creators
Helping your audience get the most from your work
If you're making RPG work and you want to get it out there, Dice Friendly Librarian has potential to be useful. It's my intention that this becomes something to help you maintain visibility with your audience, as well as help them get the most out of your work which they already have. All of this is free, as the better the information the product can use, the better the product is.
Dice Friendly Librarian is intended to not just be a file organiser, but also a regularly updating database of what releases have become available and where individual creators can have their work browsed as easily as a publisher.
With a healthy library of pre-annotated files in place, your customers will be treated to all your work, owned and unowned, being categorised and presented in a clear and easy to use manner. If they point Librarian at the right folder, it will recognise your works and give everything the right titles; labels for things like RPG and RPG System, what type of content it is, and they'll be able to find it quickly in the app.
You can create all these annotations yourself using the Dice Friendly Librarian, and with a provided key it can be sent to the server for approval.
If someone has a lot of your work already, and Librarian knows about what they don't have - through simple database lookups, no tracking or analytics - they will have a chance to see these works, and follow links to their store pages, when they look at "your" page on Dice Friendly Librarian. Whether as an individual or a publisher, Librarian will offer users a page where they can see a list of known works from the Dice Friendly database, giving them a chance to fill holes in their collection, or discover new works.
